What is Scorigami?
Scorigami is the concept of a final score that has never happened before in a sport's history. The idea was popularized by Jon Bois, whose brilliant work on NFL scorigami inspired this project. Watch the original video
I built World Cupigami to bring a little American sporting culture to the world's biggest stage — in the spirit of sharing that makes the World Cup special. Scorigami works a bit differently in soccer than in American football, since goals are scored one at a time rather than in chunks of 2, 3, 6, 7, or 8. That makes new scorigamis rarer and more meaningful.

What's the point of this?
Honestly? Nothing. It's just fun if you're a sports analytics nerd like me. But if there's one good thing that can come out of this — when your team scores a scorigami, consider donating to a charity in the losing team's country. A historic scoreline is a great excuse to do some good in the world.
